Green Gas or Bio Gas is produced from organic waste in a process called anerobic digestion.
Similar to a compost heap at home the bacteria break down the waste such as animal manure, waste water and food waste in the absence of oxygen.
Methane is produced in this natural anerobic digestion process and rather than this harmful green house gas being released into the atmosphere it is captured and is put straight into the main grid allowing it to be used to heat your home.
This process is circular as fertiliser is produced at the end of the digestive process which can be used on farmers fields.
